Mahanati – the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, directed by Nag Ashwin, is receiving lot of appreciations from the celebrities.
Keerthy Suresh who played the role of Savitri (Mahanati) dominates the screen. Recently during the media interaction, Keerthy Suresh talked about her experience of enacting an actress who once ruled the South Indian industry. Keerthy Suresh said that more than acting lessons, it was a life lesson to play the role of a real-life character like a legendary actress Savitri, who was larger than life figure at that time.
Mahanati is faring well at the box-office across the globe. Mahanati is running successfully in the USA and it has collected Rs 10 crore (1.6 million dollar). According to the traders report, very soon Mahanati will join the club of 2 million dollar club.
During the media interaction, Mahanati director Nag Ashwin said his parents are happy after seeing Mahanati on the screen. He said, “Producer Ashwin Dutt was exited about Mahanati and Aswini Dutt’s daughters took a bold step in making Mahanati.”
Vasuki Bhaskar is the daughter of film producer R.D. Bhaskar. Vasuki Bhaskar’s brothers are film director Parthi Bhaskar and playback singer and actor Hari Bhaskar, who briefly worked on an unfinished film titled Viyugam, opposite Kanchi Kaul. Music directors Karthik Raja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, singer Bhavatharini, film director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, singer and composer Premji Amaren are her cousins.
Vasuki Bhaskar has worked with directors Prabhu Deva in Villu and Bala in Avan Ivan.
