Megastar Chiranjeevi has teamed up with filmmaker Meher Ramesh for the eagerly-awaited Telugu remake of Ajith Kumar starrer Tamil blockbuster film Vedalam and this has created a fair deal of buzz among movie  lovers. Meher Ramesh has been roped to helm  Vedhalam remake. Now according to the latest update, Meher Ramesh has already started the shoot of  Vedhalam remake without Chiranjeevi.

Ajith starrer Vedalam had Kolkata city as a backdrop and Meher Ramesh  has also  decided to shoot the Telugu film in Kolkata as well.  In the month of October on the eve of Dussehra, Meher Ramesh visited Kolkata  with the team members and  shot the festival celebrations at the Durga temple.

The sources close to Meher Ramesh revealed that the director is very happy with the shots he canned and is planning to resume the shoot of the remake from next year.

Meanwhile Chiranjeevi is working with Koratala Siva  for his social message oriented movie Acharya and after wrapping up the shoot of Ram Charan’ production venture, he will join the sets of Vedhalam remake, which will be bankrolled by Anil Sunkara under the  banner of AK Entertainments banner. Mahati Swara Sagar has been roped in Vedhalam remake to score the music.
