Vedhika Kumar is all set to foray into Bollywood with Jeethu Joseph’s first Hindi film The Body in which Emraan Hashmi is playing the lead role. Rishi Kapoor and Kaalakandi actress Sobhita Dhulipala are also the part of this film.
Vedhika Kumar who made her Telugu debut with Nandamuri Kalyanram in Vijayadasami, where she played the role of Devi, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Bollywood kisser Emraan Hashmi starrer “The Body”. Recently during the media interaction, the actress opened up about The Body and said, “I was waiting for the right project. I am very excited and thankful to the director who provided me the opportunity to act in this upcoming film. I can’t wait to start the movie.” Vedhika also praised Emraan Hasmi, saying he is a fabulous actor.
The suspense thriller drama – The Body is helmed by Malayalam director Jeetu Joseph Jeetu Joseph and is bankrolled by Sunir Kheterpal of Azure Entertainment and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. Vedhika Kumar will be seen essaying the role of a young college-going girl. According to the director Jeetu, her pairing with Emraan Hashmi will be fresh and one to watch out for.” The shoot of the movie has been already started in the second week of May in Mumbai and the makers are planning to fly Mauritius next week for an extensive schedule.
Vedhika Kumar is a well known face for South Indian audiences as she has been the part of Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies. The beautiful and talented actress is also popular fore Raghava Lawrence’s comedy horror Muni. She has also shared the screen space with Nara Rohit in Baanam and Sumanth in Daggaraga Dooramga. On the work side, she will be next seen in Kanchana 3 starring Raghva Lawrence, Oviya, Kovai Sarala, Manobala, Sriman, Devadarshini, which is in post production stage.
Paradesi actress is also busy in the shoot of Trance, Vinodhan and Home Minister which are in different production stage. Vedhika Kumar was chosen for the role in The Body after a nationwide hunt and several auditions. On the other-side, Emraan Hashmi was last seen in Baadshaho starring Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra.
