Recently Suresh Babu has revealed that Tharun Bhascker of Pelli Choopulu fame will be directing Venkatesh Daggubati in his next. Now according to the latest update, Venkatesh will be seen playing the role of Punter in this upcoming film, which is set in the backdrop of a Malakapet Race Club. The story will deal with horse racing.
The National Award-winning director Tharun Bhascker has already completed the script work and the pre-production work has been started. The sources close to the film unit revealed that Venkatesh will be seen uttering the dialogues with distinct Hyderabadi slang.
The sources say that Venkatesh Daggubati liked Tharun Bhasker’s script and is very happy with his character of Punter. The upcoming film will be bankrolled by Suresh Babu and it will be made on a limited budget. Who will play the female lead in Venkatesh starrer is not yet decided.
While Venkatesh is busy in upcoming romantic and comedy Venky Mama, a romantic family entertainer also starring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, Payal Rajput, and Raashi Khanna, which will hit the theaters in the month of January. Venky Mama is helmed by KS Ravindra alias Bobby and produced by Suresh Productions. On the other side, Tharun Bhasker has completed shooting for Vijay Deverakonda’s production venture Meeku Matrame Chepta.
