Vijay Devarakonda bags Best Actor award at 65th Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 Vijay Devarakonda won the best actor award for his outstanding performance in Arjun Reddy at the 65th Jio Filmfare Awards (South) 2018 .

The 65th Jio Filmfare Awards (South) 2018  was held yesterday on 16th June 2018 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Novotel. Vijay Deverakonda turned heads as he posed at the red carpet wearing a blue and white striped suit. The hot chunk Vijay Deverakonda has received a lot of love in a short span after he started his career in Tollywood and is a hit among the youth down South.  In the category of male lead actor Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Young Rebel star Prabhas, Young Tiger  Jr NTR and Vijay Devarakonda were nominated for their  performance in Khaidi No 150, Gauthamiputra Satakarni, Baaubali 2:The Conclusion,  Jai Lava Kusa and Arjun Reddy respectively.  Finally Vijay Deverakonda won the best actor award.

When the filmfare released the nomination list, Vijay Devarakonda said, “To be nominated among such stalwarts of the industry is absolutely unbelievable. First comes Chiranjeevi sir, Venky sir and Balayya Babu and then the next generation superstars Prabhas and Tarak bhai. I am the next generation. So it feels like now I’ve suddenly been placed at the big boys’ table.”

Vijay Devarakonda received national recognition for his supporting role in Yevade Subramanyam, which was released in 2015. Later be deliverd sensational hit movie Pelli Choopulu. which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. Vijay Devarakonda becae overnight star after delivering the blockbuster Arjun Reddy in 2017.

 Recently Vijay Devarakonda was also seen in Mahanati- Savitri biopic in the direction of Nag Ashwin and currently he is waiting for the release of his upcoming movie Taxiwala.

 Apart from Taxiwala, Vijay Devarakonda will also be seen in bilingual Tamil- Telugu NOTA and  Telugu movie Dear Comrade.
