Vijay Deverakonda in Prabhas Kalki 2989 AD: Nag Ashwin’s upcoming project Kalki 2898 AD is one of Prabhas’ much-awaited projects which has Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in the female leads. The team has been secretive about the film’s story. Despite being a sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD has a surprising connection to mythology. When asked why Naga Ashwin chose the name Kalki for the film during an interview, Nag Ashwin responded, “Kalki is the final avatar of Vishnu. Despite being set in the future, the movie has a connection to the past that will be revealed in the film. We thought this would be an apt name.”
If ongoing buzz in the media and the film industry are to be believed, the young sensation of Tollywood- Vijay Deverakonda will be seen playing a cameo in Prabhas and Nag Ashwin Kalki AD. The official confirmation regarding the inclusion of Vijay Deverakonda is awaited.
Kalki 2898 AD will be released on May 9 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages, and also in many foreign languages. Bollywood star hero Amitabh Bachchan is playing a pivotal role.
