It is known that Puri Jagannadh’ magnum opus liger starring the young actor Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday turned out commercially flop at the box office. Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV tweeted an alleged screenshot of a WhatsApp message, claiming that a group of distributors is planning to protest outside Puri Jagannadh’s house on 27th October at 9 am. RGV shared the screenshot by writing, “Threatening Msg circulating in Distribution groups about LIGER.” The film critic Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, also commented on these issues on social media.
KRK took to his twitter and wrote: Dear @TheDeverakonda why only #PuriJagannadh should be responsible to refund loss of distributors when you were doing Full Fekam Fek like जिसको देखनी है देखे, नहीं तो ना देखे! देख लेंगे कौन रोकेगा, before the release of #Liger. Have some shame n refund ur full fees to producers.
Distributors of film #Liger are asking for refund from Producer, Director #PuriJagannadh. Puri said: Blackmailing tactics won’t work. I have discussed with Distributors and will take some more time to settle. Anyone trying to tarnish my reputation won’t be refunded.
According to KRK, Vijay Deverakonda should also come forward and refund the loss of the distributors. He also said that Vijay should have to return his full fees to the producers.
