Vijay Deverakonda is currently working with Puri Jagannadh for an upcoming actioner drama Liger, which is jointly bankrolled by Puri, Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar. Liger is a bilingual movie, which is being made in Telugu and Hindi.
The movie marks Ananya Pandey’ debut in Tollywood, who is playing the love interest of Vijay. Earlier it was heard that Liger would be released on OTT platform but the actor trashed the reports that his upcoming pan-India movie Liger is heading to a digital platform for its release.
According to the latest reports, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam fame Vijay Devarakonda will have a speech disability in this film. Gossip is that Vijay Deverakonda can not spell the word ‘T’ in Puri Jagannadh’ directorial venture and which is why he pronounces Tiger as Liger. While this may or may not be true, it is currently trending on the social media.
Set in Mumbai, the film Liger tells the story of an MMA fighter, played by the actor. Vijay Deverakonda, who usually sports a lean and toned look, has worked hard since more than a year to turn his body buff for the role. World Famous Lover fame actor also grew out his hair and beard, keeping the former in control with the help of beanies. However, the young actor is working hard to keep his full look from Liger under wraps.
