Sukumar, Koratala Siva, Chandrasekhar Yeleti and MM Keeravani have graced the Dear Comrade launch event as chief guests. Bahaubali music composer MM Keeravani has clapped the board for the first scene shot on lead pair, Vijay Deverakondra and Rashmika Mandanna whereas Chandrasekhar Yeleti switched on the camera. Directors Koratala Siva and Sukumar have handed over the script.
In the month of May, on the occasion of Vijay Deverakonda’s, the production house, Mythri Movie Makers released the first look poster. Arjun Reddy star shared the first look poster on his twitter and captioned it, “Mythri Movie Makers.Big Ben Cinemas.& Your Man @Thedeverakonda.Bring you an action drama you will not forget – #DearComrade directed by Bharat Kamma.”
Dear Comrade will be directed by Bharat Kamma, it was was said to be inspired from the Dulquer Salmaan’s Malayalam film Comrade in America aka CIA. However, in a recent media interaction, director Bharat Kamma said that the upcoming movie Dear Comrade would be completely different project and has no connection with the Malayalam film. Though the movie is titled Dear Comrade but it is not a communist movie. Vijay Deverakonda will be seen essaying the role of a student leader coming from a communist family. The film will be set in Kakinada background and Vijay Deverakonda will be speaking in core Kakinada local tongue.
Mythri Movie Makers, who have produced a number of super-hit films such as Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage and Rangasthalam, is producing Dear Comrade. Justin Prabhakaran has been roped in to score the music.
Rashmika Mandanna of Chalo fame will share the screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in this movie.
Meanwhile Vijay Deverakonda is waiting for the release of sci-fi thriller Taxiwaala. Currently the actor is busy in his upcoming bilingual Tamil and Telugu film NOTA, directed by Irumugan fame Anand Shankar. Mehreen Kaur Pirzada is playing the love interest of Vijay Deverakonda in the film.
