We have already reported that Megastar Chiranjeevi had met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the controversy over the pricing of cinema tickets. Ever since the meeting, it has been rumored that the YSRCP had offered a Rajya Sabha seat to megastar Chiranjeevi. He termed as speculative some media reports that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy offered him a Rajya Sabha seat. Chiranjeevi also clarified that he is staying away from politics. Chiru denied that he was offered a Rajya Sabha seat. Finally the young actor Vijay Deverakonda who is known for playing the lead roles in Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindamm come in the support of Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi took to his twitter and revealed that the reports in a section of the media that he is being sent to Rajya Sabha are false. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy fame star also requested the media not to publish such speculative stories.
Vijay Deverakonda came out in support of Chiranjeevi and tweeted, “My Full support. #GiveNewsNotViews.”
After the meeting with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chiranjeevi interacted with the media and revealed that AP CM responded positively to the issues raised by him on behalf of the Telugu film industry, exhibitors and theater owners.
