The young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda is currently working with Temper fame Puri Jagannadh for his upcoming actioner drama Fighter in which he will be seen sharing the screen space with Ananya Pandey. Vijay is pinning a lot of hopes on Fighter, which marks his debut in Bollywood. Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam fame Vijay Deverakonda is facing a rough patch as his last two movies Dear Comrade and World Famous Lover failed to create any magic at the box office.
World Famous Lover, helmed by Kranthi Madhav starring Vijay Deverakonda, Aishwarya Rajesh, Raashi Khanna, Catherine Tresa and Izabelle Leite in lead roles, was released on the occasion of Valentine day, but received negative response by the movie lovers and critics on its opening day.
Vijay Deverakonda told senior journalist Rajeev Masand that the film World Famous Lover was very good on paper but it didn’t work out during the execution. Arju Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda said, “The film was amazing on paper. But we fu*ked it up as far as the execution is concerned. I was very excited when I had heard the story of this film.”
About the failure of Dear Comrade, Vijay Deverakonda said, “The story of the movie completely flips in the second half and the people were not prepared for it.”
