Ilayathalapathy Vijay is busy in the shoot of upcoming film Master, in the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das in the supporting roles. Currently the shoot of Master is going on in Neyveli Lignite Corporation estate in Tamil Nadu. Now according to the latest update, the Income Tax (IT) department – Investigations Wing paid a surprise visit to the master sets and Vijay was grilled at the spot. They took Vijay for questioning after searching premises of AGS Group, the producer of his last offering Bigil.
The sources say that over 20 locations belonging to AGS group were being searched after which Vijay was taken for questioning.
It is being heard that Vijay was questioned about the taxes and his remuneration for his Bigil. The IT officers are also searching the properties of AGS Cinemas and film financier Anbu Cheliyan in Madurai
AGS Entertainments, the producers of Bigil are raided today morning and the IT officials extended their raids and questioned Vijay. The sources say that Vijay was summoned right after the investigation.
On the other side, Income Tax officials denied reports of Bigil actor Vijay being taken into custody for questioning. They also confirmed that Vijay is being brought to his Chennai residence from Neyveli by road to inquire about certain cash transactions.
