After a long gap of 13 years, the lady Amitabh Vijayashanti made her comeback in acting field with Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer romantic and comedy drama Sarileru Neekevvaru, which was released on 10th January 2020 and received positive response from all the corners. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Vijayashanti charged Rs 1.5 Cr excluding GST to play the important role in Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Mahesh Babu is essaying the role of Major Ajay Krishna whereas Vijayashanti is playing professor Bharati in Sarileru Neekevvaru, directed by Anil Ravipudi of F2 fame.
Vijayashanti’ was last seen in 2006 film, Nayudamma. She is widely popular for her action-based films such as Karthavyam and Pratighatana among others.
The sources say that Vijayashanti is now looking forward to signing more films. But there are two conditions that makers have to fulfill if they want to cast the talented actress in. That the actress would not compromise on remuneration which is more than a big heroine gets. The other condition is that Vijayashanti wants a crucial role. She will not do typical mother roles in the movies. Her character should be strong in films. Vijayashanti is turning down regular characters.
It is being heard that Vijayashanti’ remuneration is just double that what the Sarileru Neekevvaru’ leading lady Rashmika Mandanna is paid by the producers.
Sarileru Neekevvaru is helmed by Anil Ravipudi and is jointly produced by Dil Raju, Anil Sunkara and Mahesh Babu whereas it has the music by Devi Sri Prasad.
