It is known that Vishal and filmmaker Hari are all set to join hands for a new project after Thaamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014). The film of Vishal which was tentatively called Vishal 34, is now revealed to be titled Rathnam. The makers have already started shooting.
Vishal took to X to share a ‘first shot’ teaser of the film Rathnam which features his character beheading a man. The production house wrote on the wall of X: Presenting the First Look posters of #Rathnam starring Puratchi Thalapathy @VishalKOfficial
Coming on the poster, Vishal is looking powerful with a sword in one hand and a severed head in the other. This gives an idea of the range of violence in this movie. The teaser showcases an intense sequence where Vishal’s character beheads a man, setting the tone for an action packed narrative.
The upcoming action drama also has Samuthirakani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Yogi Babu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. It is produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banner of Stonebench Films and Zee Studios.
While Devi Sree Prasad is providing the music for this film, M Sukumar is handling cinematography and TS Jay is taking charge of editing. Vishal has confirmed that the film will be released in the summer of 2024.
