Vivek Agnihotri, the director of The Kashmir Files, indirectly criticized Pan Indian movie Salaar which has Young Rebel star Prabhas and Sharuti Haasan in the lead roles. Recently, he expressed concern that the film industry is glamorizing extreme violence.
The makers have officially released the teaser of this movie recently. Although there were criticisms that this teaser was not up to the expected level, it received huge views on YouTube. It got 83 million views in 24 hours.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri indirectly criticized Salaar teaser by posting a tweet: Now glamorizing extreme violence in movies is also considered talent. Promoting nonsense cinema is considered the bigger talent. And Promoting a non actor as biggest star is considered biggest talent and assuming the audience is super dumb is mother of all talent.
Those who have watched Salaar teaser, know that, Prabhas is dubbed as “the most violent man” and it delivers glimpses of the thrilling action from the extensive universe created by Prashanth Neel.
Vivek also tweeted: People aren’t born violent. Your children’ minds are conditioned by glamorizing violence in the popular literature, the cinema and the politics by industry leaders who should be actually inspiring young minds for the peace. In such a violent world, the only solution is the Creative Consciousness.
