The failure of Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood babe Ananya Panday starrer Sport based drama Liger has sent shivers down the spine of the movie industry and South distributors have lost money. Recently one distributor from the South, Warangal Srinu sai, “I have lost something to the tune of 65 % of my investment.” Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh’ film was one of the most awaited films of the year. However, the movie received poor response from the audience and critics after the release. Puri Jagannath received many criticisms in terms of the film Liger. The director VV Vinayak, who is Puri Jagannadh’ friend, responded in his own way to the criticisms coming on Puri Jagannadh in a recent interview.
The film maker VV Vinayak said, “Nobody knows what Puri Jagannadh’ stamina. Liger nothing changed Puri Jagannadh’s life. Even before this he has seen flops, hits and super hits in his career in the film industry. I still love Pokiri. Financial problems are natural in the film industry. He knows well how much has gone and how much has come. Puri Jagannadh is not so weak that he cannot get up and walk again. I and those close to him know his capacity.
VV Vinayak further added, “Puri Jagannath has forget his tears. He is a creator and again he will write a good story. He will come back.”
