WhatsApp has announced that it will soon roll out a new feature that would allow group admins to delete messages for everyone. The group admins irrespective of the count will have the power to delete messages that are not looking plain. The feature will be available to Android beta users in a future update.
If a group admin deleted a message, then the remaining persons in the group will be notified that, ‘This message was deleted by an admin” in the place of the message (which was deleted). This feature is helpful for the group members to remove any unwanted messages, those are not interested for the users to receive.
The company has been trying hard to develop the user experience. It is working on the possibility of extending the time limit of the feature “Delete message for everyone”. At present, users can delete a message that sent, only after 1 hour,8 min and 16 sec. But now, WhatsApp is providing an option of deleting messages for everyone 7 days after sending them. The company is saying that it is planning to cahnge the time limit to 7 days and 8 minutes in a future update.
