Not only the fans of Nandamuri, but also the movie lovers are surprised that the film ‘Akhanda‘ did not get a place in the Filmfare South Awards held in Bangalore recently. Many comments are being heard on social media as all the awards have come to the movie ‘Pushpa’. The movie ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Akhanda’ were released in the month of December last year. There may be a difference in terms of revenue in the worldwide calculations, but in Telugu states, the movie ‘Akhanda’ brought more profits to the buyers than ‘Pushpa’.
It is known that recently the director Teja made comments that the buyers suffered losses due to the movie ‘Pushpa’. All commercial films are also considered for the Filmfare Awards. It must be said that ‘Pushpa’ is a pure commercial film. But in ‘Akhanda’ along with the commercial elements, the philosophy of Hindu religion has been shown in a great way. Nandamuri fans argue that Balayya’s movie is the best in terms of content.
But since the Filmfare award function is organized by Bollywood companies, ‘Pushpa’ might have been seen as a measure of their success in the North. At that time, the movie ‘Akhanda’ was dubbed in Hindi and not released in theatres. Due to that reason, ‘Akhanda’ could not reach the people there. Later, those who saw it in Hot Star thought that it would have been better if the movie had been released in theaters.
It got stuck when all the awards were given to the movie ‘Pushpa’, leaving aside the movie ‘Akhanda’. At the time Nandi Awards were given, Filmfare Awards were not taken seriously. But now that the Nandi awards have disappeared, it must be said that the importance of film fare has increased.
