Many young players are doing great in this IPL. The leading youngster is Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. He has been in super form since the beginning of the season and is the backbone of Rajasthan’s batting. In this process he is breaking many records. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a half-century in the latest match against Punjab Kings on Friday. In this sequence he crossed the milestone of 600 runs in the season. Currently he has 625 runs.

With that, he created a record as an uncapped player who scored the most runs in a season. The record of 615 runs scored by Australian player Shaun Marsh for Punjab in 2008 continued for 15 years. Now that record belongs to Jaiswal. Moreover, he became the second youngest player to score 600 runs in a season.

Rishabh Pant (20 years 226 days) is on the first position. Jaiswal achieved this feat at the age of 21 years and 142 days. Virat Kohli (24 years 193 days) is in third place. Jaiswal has scored 625 runs at an average of 48 in 14 matches so far this season. It has one century and five fifties. Jaiswal is second in the list of highest run-scorers this season. Bengaluru captain Duplessis continues to lead the way with 702 runs.
