The film Yatra starring Malayalam star Mammootty was released four years ago as the plot of the padayatra of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. The film released on the occasion of the 2019 assembly elections and became a hit as expected. Director Mahi V Raghav’s direction of the film has received praise. Meanwhile, Mahi V Raghav Yatra is being made as a sequel based on the long journey made by the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy before the 2019 elections. The motion poster and release time of the film Yatra 2 has been announced today by the film unit.
If the first part of the Yatra comes before the 2019 elections, the Yatra-2 will be released about three months before the general elections in February next year. 2024 February Yatra 2 is coming.
When it comes to the motion poster ,YS Rajasekhara Reddy affectionately addresses the people, “Namaste Babu, Namaste Akkayya, Namaste Chellemma Namaste” starts with the voice over. The statue of the hand that greets the people is prominently displayed in the motion poster. The film unit showed the animated character of YS Jagan climbing the steps to go up to the statue. It means that the film unit symbolically said that Jagan has taken a walk to reach the level of Rajasekhara Reddy. It seems that many people are complaining about Jagan. After reaching the palm of the idol, the film unit put YS Jagan’s famous dialogues as voice over in the background. In 2017, when the Padayatra started, YS Jagan said, “The world may not yet know who I am. Remember one thing. I am the son of YS Rajasekhara Reddy” dialogue is in the voice over. After that, Jagan’s famous dialogue “I heard.. I am there” the motion poster ends.
