12 percent of the sitting MPs elected to the Rajya Sabha from Telugu states are billionaires. ADR and NEW organizations disclosed this. It is said that the assets of eighteen MPs are worth Rs 9 thousand crores. It has released a report detailing the crimes and assets of 225 Rajya Sabha members. It said that there are eighteen MPs from AP and Telangana, whose total assets are worth Rs 9,419 crore. According to this report, Rajya Sabha members include five out of eleven MPs from Andhra Pradesh, three out of seven MPs from Telangana, three out of 19 MPs from Maharashtra, one out of three MPs from Delhi, two out of seven MPs from Punjab, one out of five MPs from Haryana and two out of eleven MPs from Madhya Pradesh. They declared their assets as Rs.100 crores.
The property value of seven MPs representing Telangana is Rs.5,596 crore, while the property value of 11 MPs representing AP is Rs.3,823 crore. The assets of 30 Rajya Sabha members from UP are worth Rs 1,941 crore.
There are criminal cases against 23 out of 85 MPs from BJP and 12 out of 30 from Congress. There are criminal cases against three YCP MPs from Telugu states.
