BJP Varanasi District President Hansraj Vishwakarma said that they are being expelled from BJP. However, neither their status nor their role in the party was revealed. The Varanasi police identified the accused as Kunal Pandey, Anand alias Abhishek Chauhan and Saksham Patel and arrested them yesterday. The court remanded them till 14th of this month.
The incident took place on the night of 1st November. Following the incident, hundreds of BHU students had held a protest on the campus and demanded that the entry of outsiders be banned.

The accused who came on a bike m… her in the campus itself. The accused undressed her and took a video of the incident. This incident caused a great stir. The IIT-BHU student union has protested. This incident caused a lot of political uproar in UP.
