Venkatesh Daggubati and Divya Bharti starrer Bobbili Raja is the best film of the 90s, today the movie completed 31 years of its theatrical release. Bobbili Raja was loved by Venky’ fans and even today it is the favorite of many. The romance of Raja and Rani still has a special place in our hearts. The chemistry between the lead pair and his iconic dialogue Ayyo Ayyo Ayyayyo cannot be forgotten. The movie marked the Telugu debut of deceased yesteryear actress Divya Bharti.
Bobbili Raja was directed by B Gopal and produced by D Suresh under his banner Suresh Productions whereas Ilaiyaraaja composed the music.
Bobbili Raja’ success made the actress sign many movies in Telugu and Hindi. She was just 16-years-old when it was released. Divya Bharti, aged 19, breathed her last in the year 1993. Divya lost her balance and fell from the 5th floor of her apartment in Mumbai. Ever since the actress’ death, many speculations were doing rounds on media circles.
Coming back to Venkatesh Daggubati, the actor was last seen in the film Naarappa co-starring national award winning actress Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj and Murali Sharma in the lead roles. Currently he is waiting for the release of Drushyam 2.
