As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, interesting developments are taking place in the politics of Tamil Nadu. Popular film actress Gautami has joined All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam – AIADMK party. Gautami covered herself with the party scarf in the presence of the party’s general secretary and former chief minister Palaniswami. It is noteworthy that Gautami, who has been in the BJP for almost 25 years, has now joined the AIADMK.
Gautami had earlier expressed her displeasure with t BJP. She had earlier commented that she had worked hard for the party at the field level but she did not get adequate support during the difficult times. Recently Tamil film actress Gayatri Raghuram also said goodbye to BJP and joined AIADMK.
Gautami met AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and got inducted into AIADMK party.
AIADMK party also shared a picture of actress with Palaniswami, who handed her a copy of the book ‘Maaperum Tamilkanavu’ and a pic of former Chief Minister CN Annadurai on the occasion.
