Kannada actress, Congress leader and former MP Ramya made sensational comments against BJP. She caused a stir by commenting that a leader had offered her a ministerial position within a day if she joined the BJP. However, She said that she rejected the offer immediately. Ramya, a former Mandya MP, resigned from the post of Congress social media cell in-charge in 2019. She has been away from politics since then. She is also in the list of 40 star campaigners announced by the Congress party in the wake of the Karnataka assembly elections.
Recently, Ramya said that some leaders think that if film actors are taken for election campaigns, people will come for the support. In fact, Ramya made it clear that only popular people who come to campaign will not get votes.
Ramya said that famous actor Sudeep is campaigning for BJP. She said that she had refused offers from other parties to come to the campaign.
On the otherside, Minister Ashok strongly reacted to actress Ramya’s comments that BJP has offered to make her a minister in one day if she joins BJP. He said BJP has not stooped to the level of inviting her into the party. BJP does not need her. Ashok stated that he did not know who the leader was who invited her to the BJP.
