Veteran actress Sarika soon will be seen in Hindi adventure drama film Uunchai directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, Boundless Media and Mahaveer Jain Films. The film stars Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra. It is scheduled for release on 11 November 2022. Recently during the media interaction the National Award-winning actress spoke about her upcoming film, collaborating with Rajshri Productions after decades and more.
Earlier she was seen playing the lead in filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava’s short My Beautiful Wrinkles in the anthology film Modern Love: Mumbai, which was the story of an older woman trying to deal with a young man’s sexual interest in her. And now, Sarika is gearing up for the release of her next film Uunchai.
During the interview, she said that She is selective about the kind of films she wants to do. She couldn’t say a no to filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya. Sarika added, “Rajshri Productions and I have history. We did Geet Gaata Chal in 1975 together. It remains to me one of the most beautiful memories. Doing Uunchai was like completing a circle. In my head, I had decided that I will say a yes to any film that they offer me because of the personal equation I share with them.”
Parzania star also spoke about the cat fights between female actors that were not unheard of back in the day. When she was asked if she ever became the subject of such pieces and the 60-year-old said, “I was never in the headlines.
Ahead of the release, Sarika also opened up about how she feels if her movies don’t do well at the box office. she said, “I am happy. I am happy with all my films. I usually don’t connect with things like business and all that.”
