Adjoining 7 corporations, 30 municipalities to be part of Greater Hyderabad

Telangana government is taking steps towards taking a key decision regarding Greater Hyderabad. All Municipal Corporations and Municipalities under HMDA are looking to be merged into Greater Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy, who has been making sensational decisions since the day he assumed power in Telangana state, has recently taken another important decision. The Telangana government plans to merge all municipal corporations and municipalities under the Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA) into Greater Hyderabad. Telangana government is thinking of setting up a single corporation for all the areas under HMDA or setting up four corporations on four sides.

At present, there are seven Municipal Corporations and 30 Municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The government’s idea is to combine all these to form Hyderabad Greater City Corporation. 

 Revanth Reddy has ordered to appoint special officers for the municipalities in the present corporation immediately after the tenure of the governing bodies is over.
