ED has once again issued a summons to MLC Kavitha in the Delhi liquor case. It has been stated in the notice that she will appear before the ED tomorrow (Tuesday). Kavitha, who has already received notices several times, has also faced investigation. Responding to the latest notices, it has become interesting whether she will attend the inquiry or not.
However, BRS MLC Kavitha approached the Supreme Court last year to cancel the notices issued by the ED asking her to appear for investigation in the Delhi liquor scam case. She asked the court to order not to take coercive action on the ED notices. She said that she is seeking exemplary relief in the Nalini Chidambaram case. Kavitha also asked the court to clarify the guidelines for the investigation of women. The court heard this.
After hearing the arguments of both parties on the petition, the court adjourned the hearing to November 20. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul said that there is a special bench hearing related to PMLA cases on October 18. After this investigation, the investigation will be conducted on Kavitha’s petition.
K Kavitha, who is a member of the Telangana Legislative Council, was questioned by CBI in the same case in December 2022.
