Akhil Akkineni, the son of Akkineni Nagarjuna, made his Telugu debut with Akhil:The Power of Jua, directed by VV Vinayak, which was disaster at the box office. Later Akhil teamed up with 24 and Manam fame Vikram Kumar for Hello, in which he shared the screen space with Kalyani Priyadarshan, and it was just average at the box office. Akhil is taking special care while listening the storyline and currently he is busy in the shoot of upcoming third movie, in the direction of Venky Atluri. Currently the movie is progressing at brisk pace in London. According to the latest update, Akhil has joined hands with Sathya Prabhas for his 4th project. The sources say that Akhil is very impressed with the script and asked Sathya Prabhas to develop it. Karan Johar, who distributed Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali, is going to bankroll Akhil Akkineni’s film and it will be released in two languages- Telugu and Hindi. The official confirmation is awaited regarding it.
Sathya Prabhas is the brother of actor Aadhi Pinisetty and he earlier directed Malupu which received decent response by the movie lovers. The sources say that Akhil Akkineni is pretty kicked about Sathya Prabhas’s plotline and wants to work with him next. However, it all depends on how the script shapes up.”
Karan Johar made his directorial debut with the blockbuster romance Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which was released in 1998.
Currently Karan Johar is producing Brahmastra in which Akhil’s father King Nagarjuna is playing crucial role and will share the screen space with Dimple Kapadia. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are plying the led roles.
