The stage is being prepared for another alliance without Congress. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav are taking steps in this direction. Recently these two leaders met and discussed the non-Congress and BJP alliance.

Trinamool Congress MP Sudeep Bandopadhyay said that they are trying to use Rahul Gandhi as the representative of the opposition and as a result it is benefiting. He concluded that the Congress boss is only a myth for the opposition. On the other hand, Sudeep Bandopadhyay said that Mamata Banerjee, who talked to Akhilesh about teaming up against Congress and BJP, will meet Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik on 23rd of this month. He said that the regional parties have the power to face bharitya Janata party- BJP. He made it clear that they will not call this new alliance as a third front.

After the meeting with Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav said that he has decided to maintain an equal distance between BJP and Congress. They claim that they are with Mamata. He indirectly criticized the BJP saying that those who have taken BJP vaccine will not face any problem with CBI, ED and IT.
