Nikki Haley, a woman of Indian descent, a Republican leader, who served as the governor of South Carolina for two terms, will have a strong impact in the next US presidential election. It is noteworthy that Nikki Haley has recently announced that she will run for the 2024 presidential election. An opinion poll was conducted to find out how much support she has among the people.

In a national telephone and online survey by Ross Musen Reports, 51 years old Nikki Haley is surprisingly ahead of Democratic Party leader and current President Joe Biden. 45 % of Americans said they would vote for Haley, while 41 %  said they would vote for Biden. Those who said yes to others were 10 %.  Haley, who is ahead of Biden of the rival party, is behind former President Donald Trump of his own party. Those who said they would vote for Trump were 52 % . 24 % will vote for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. It seems that Trump’s influence is still strong.

Outside of her own party, 18 % of Democrats support Nikki Haley. Trump has the support of 74 % of Democrats. The next US presidential election will be held on 5th November, 2024. Before entering the presidential race, she has to win as a candidate for the Republic Party. It will start in January next year. Incumbent President Joe Biden has yet to announce his return to the presidency. If  Indian-origin Republican leader Nikki Haley wins, she will become America’s first female president.
