Andhra Pradesh govt to release Rs 708 crunder Jagananna Vidya Deevena 

Jagananna Vidya Deevena funds will be credited to students’ accounts in AP today. Funds for 9.44 lakh students pursuing higher education in the state for October-December quarter 2023 will be deposited in the bank accounts of student’s mothers.

The state government will release Rs 708.68 cr under Jagananna Vidya Dievena on Friday. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will deposit the fee reimbursement funds in the joint accounts of mothers and students in an open meeting at Palmeru, Krishna district. The state government says that CM Jagan’s government has so far spent Rs18,002 cr on education and accommodation schemes.

Fee Reimbursement Schemes are being offered with the aim that higher education should not become a burden for poor students. The AP government is paying the full fees for the courses like ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering, medicine etc on a regular quarterly basis.

Jagananna is providing accommodation for food and accommodation expenses. Accommodation fees are being reimbursed in two installments of Rs 10 thousand for ITI students, Rs 15 thousand for polytechnic students and Rs 20 thousand for those pursuing degree, engineering, medicine and other courses. It is said that the state government has spent Rs 72,919 crores in the period of 57 months, which is giving a lot of attention to the education sector.
