Another defamation case has been filed against Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi, who was found guilty and disqualified for making controversial comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s family name. Speaking in Ambala on January 9 this year after the Bharat Jodo Yatra reached Haryana, Rahul described RSS members as Kauravas of the 21st century.

Rahul Gandhi had said: Who were Kauravas? I will first tell you about the 21st century Kauravas. They wear khakhi half-pants, carry  the lathi in hand and hold shakhas.  India’s 2-3 billionaires are standing with the Kauravas.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh- RSS activist Kamal Bhadauria filed a defamation case in Haridwar court in Uttarakhand on these comments made by Rahul Gandhi. The trial will be held on the 12th of this month.

Kamal Bhadauria said: We have filed the complaint under sections 499 and 500 of IPC.  On April 12, the court will hear the complaint.

Another defamation case was filed against Rahul in the Bhiwandi Magistrate’s Court of Thane district in Maharashtra. A hearing will be held on the 15th of this month on Rahul Gandhi’s petition seeking permanent exemption from appearing in the case.

It is known that last month the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to 2 years in jail in the defamation case against him for his “all thieves have the Modi surname” remark.
