The welfare schemes implemented by the ruling YSR Congress Party government under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are achieving the intended target. Navratnas, which are being implemented from the first three months of coming to power like never before, are eradicating poverty.

The welfare schemes implemented by the YSRCP government in the name of Navaratna are directly reaching the eligible person and are giving good results. The government is providing financial assistance under schemes like YSR Rythu Bharosa, Arogyashri, AmmaOdi, Pension Increase, Houses for all the poor, Fee Reimbursement, Jalayajna, Alcohol Prohibition, Asara, Cheyutha etc.

Under these schemes, YS Jagan is directly transferring the funds into the accounts of the beneficiaries by pressing the button. It is giving results beyond expectations. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is working hard for poverty alleviation, is getting adequate reward for his hard work. The welfare schemes started less than four years ago are supporting the poor financially. While the poverty rate in AP was 11.7 percent in 2016, it has reduced to 6.06 percent by 2021 – it can be understood to what extent the welfare schemes implemented by the Jagan government are useful. In rural areas, the poverty rate which was recorded as 14.72 percent in 2016 has reduced to 7.71 percent by 2021.

The same results are seen in urban areas. While the percentage of urban poverty was 4.63, it was reduced to 2.20 percent by 2021, according to the central government organization Niti Aayog. Free education, medical care, assurance to farmers, nutritious food for children, special food for pregnant women have benefited the people so much.
