AP Cabinet meeting: Key decisions of Cabinet

On Wednesday, the cabinet meeting was held in the first block of the Secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. In this meeting, the ministerial group discussed several important issues. The Cabinet took many decisions in the meeting. DSC notification with 6100 posts has been approved. In addition to this,  Jagan has approved the release of the fourth tranche of funds. The cabinet decided to release the YSR grant funds in February. It has been decided to increase the retirement age of non-teaching staff in universities and higher education institutions from 60 to 62 years. The Cabinet has approved the release of funds of Rs. 5 thousand crores for SC, ST, BC and minority women. The cabinet approved the filling of 689 posts in the Forest Department.

Govt has given the green signal for the release of the Mega DSC notification, which is good news for the unemployed in AP.

The Cabinet approved the agreement with SERT for the implementation of the IB syllabus in government schools. The cabinet has given a green signal to the resolutions passed by SIPB. It approved the investment proposals of Rs 22 thousand cr in the energy sector. It was decided that each Gram Panchayat should have a Panchayat Secretary.

The Cabinet approved the setting up of the 2 wind power projects in Nandyala and Kurnool districts. Along with these, it has given a green signal for setting up 600 MW wind power projects in the Sathya Sai and Anantapur districts. The Council of Ministers approved the creation of the post of Registrar in RJUKT.
