Andhra Pradesh Cabinet meeting on Wednesday is being held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In this meeting, the Cabinet will approve the Otan account. Andhra Pradesh State Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will present the budget in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly today. Minister Amar Nath will introduce the budget in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council. Andhra Pradesh state assembly elections are likely to be held in the month of April this year. Governments do not introduce full scale budgets before elections. After the election, the new government will introduce the full scale budget. As per this tradition Andhra Pradesh Government will introduce the Oton Account Budget today.
Cabinet will consider the vote-on-account budget and other proposals if any. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will present the vote on account budget in assembly.
It is known that Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy is managing the finance department after YSRCP came to power in Andhra Pradesh state. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy reminded that in the budget of the last five years, education, medicine, women empowerment and agriculture have been given a lot of attention.
