It has been decided to pay a lease of Rs.1.91 crore per month for each helicopter. AP Aviation Corporation Limited proposed to the government that the helicopter currently being used for the Chief Minister is outdated and it has been decided to procure new ones.

On the other hand, the Intelligence DG has reported that Chief Minister Jagan is in danger from anti-social elements. Currently, CM Jagan is being provided with Z+ category security, and new helicopters are being provided in the background of the intelligence report on the threat to the CM.

AP Aviation Corporation has proposed to change the currently used helicopter as it has been in use since 2010. It was decided to provide helicopters for the CM’s travels with protocol recommendations. Special Principal Secretary, Infrastructure Department, Yuvraj issued an order to agree to pay for helicopters and other expenses.

The newly procured helicopters will be made available, one at Gannavaram Vijayawada Airport in Vijayawada and the other at Visakhapatnam Airport.
