AP government has given good news to weavers. The state govt has taken a decision that will bring huge relief to the handloom weavers. It has been announced that electricity subsidy is being provided to loom weavers. The AP government has issued orders to this effect. 94 paise subsidy per unit has been announced. Also, electricity duty has been reduced from Rs.1 to 6 paise. The AP government has taken a key decision for the benefit of the handloom weavers who operate power looms. The leaders are happy with that.
The handloom weavers of Andhra Pradesh continue to make sarees through power looms. The leaders expresses their grief that only the handlooms are receiving subsidies from the government and no one cares about them. They have been begging the government for some time to provide them electricity subsidy.
Responding to the request of the handloom workers, the AP government has taken a decision by giving a subsidy of 94 paise per unit. Power loom weavers have been demanding subsidies on electricity charges for power loom machines for some time now. In this order, the AP government has announced that it is providing subsidies.
