After the arrest of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, the unrest in the country is intensifying. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party ranks and Imran Khan’ supporters are protesting across the country. Recently, these protests reached the house of Pakistan’s current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Some PTI party activists attacked the house of Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif in Lahore. Hundreds protested in front of the Prime Minister’s house.
About 500 PTI activists protested in front of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s house in Model Town, Lahore, police said. It was revealed that the vehicles parked there were set on fire at that time. The agitators also threw petrol bombs at the Prime Minister’s house. Senior official revealed, “Protesters hurled petrol bombs in the vicinity of the Prime Minister’s house.”
Police officials say only guards were present at the prime minister’s residence during the attack. The agitators also set fire to the police there.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was arrested by paramilitary police at the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday on a National Accountability Bureau warrant in a land transfer corruption case. Since then there have been protests in Pakistan. The protests of the PTI ranks are turning violent. 7 people have died in these clashes and about 300 people were injured.
