Mahabharat and Shaktimaan actor Mukesh Khanna said that the #MeToo movement started because the women started to consider themselves as equals to men. A video of Mukhesh Khanna’ comments from a recent interview is going viral online. In the video, he is seen saying  that #MeToo started when  the women started working outside.

Recently during an interview, Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna said, “The job of a lady is to take care of the house. #MeToo started when women started working. Today,  the women talk about walking shoulder-to-shoulder with men. The  People talk about women’s liberation, but let me tell you that where the problem starts.

The 1st person who suffers is child, because he does not have a mother taking care of him at  the home. It all started when women started saying that they want to do what men do.” As his video went viral, the people started to criticize Mukesh Khanna for his comment.

However, Mukesh Khanna was quick to clarify that his comments were taken out of context. Mahabharat actor said that he never said that women should not work. Instead, he added that he was only stating why he thought MeToo started. He also apologised for his comments and said he didn’t mean to hurt the sentiments of anyone.
