Barrelakka (Sirisha), who contested the recent Telangana assembly elections, filed a complaint with the state women’s commission against sensational film maker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV. The film maker RGV commented that Barrelakka, which did not have a name, became famous. Barrelakka took these comments seriously and her lawyer Rajesh Kumar filed a complaint with the Telangana Women’s Commission against Ram Gopal Varma.
On 24th of this month, on the occasion of pre release event of ‘Vyuham’, RGV made comments on Barrelakka. She complained to the Women’s Commission about these comments and asked to take action against RGV.
On the other hand, RGV’ film ‘Vyuham’ was slated to release today. However, the Telangana High Court has issued orders not to release the film today. It has been said that the censor certificate for this film is being suspended till January 11.
High Court has stayed the film of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Vyuham. There is no attempt by the TDP leaders to block the release of this film. A war of words has been going on between Janasena, TDP leaders over this movie for some time now.
Meanwhile, Barrelakka, who entered the field as an independent candidate from the Kolhapur constituency of Nagar Kurnool district in Telangana, received huge support. The EC revealed that 5,754 votes were cast for Barrelakka. During the election she was supported by NRIs, former IPS officers, many lawyers and film actors.
