The state government, which committed to implement two divisions to the existing two, asked the district collector to send proposals for forming the Yellandu and Manuguru divisions. So, another two revenue divisions will be coming up in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district. The two revenue divisions in the district are Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam.

As the new districts were formed, the erstwhile Palwancha division was cancelled. The Bhadradri-Kothagudem district had the most Adivasi population and the district was completely filled with reserve forest. The adivasis were demanding that the government create two new revenue divisions and three new mandals like Bodu, Mondikunta and Komararam.

The Manuguru town is expanding in size and various new colonies are forming. Rega Kantha Rao said, “The new revenue divisions are the need of the hour, keeping in mind the presence of the adivasi population. The people want to create a new revenue division in the name of Yellandu.

There is a necessity for the officials in the new revenue division to acquire lands for the coal and irrigation projects. The government opines the process can be intensified if there are two more revenue divisions. It is said by the district revenue officer Ashok Chakravarthy that his department has sent proposals to the directorate and would form the new divisions if higher authorities accepted.
