Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, who emerged victorious by 35452 votes from the Madhira Assembly constituency of Khammam district in just concluded Telangana elections, will be Deputy Chief Minister in Telangana. Revanth Reddy will be sworn in as CM of Telangana today. Soon after the election results were out on 3rd December when Congress stormed to power in Telangana winning 64 seats, there were speculations of Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu in the run for the CM- Chief Minister post, along with Uttam Kumar who also made efforts till the last minute to grab the CM chair.
Senior Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka responded for the first time on this matter.
Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu said that it is true that he was hoping for the post of Chief Minister. However, he said, it is impossible to get posts for everyone. He reminded that Revanth Reddy was selected as CM of Telangana by the party high command.
Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu made it clear on this occasion that they will abide by the High Command’s decision. He explained that there is no difference in the congress party on this matter. Meanwhile, it is known that the Congress party high command has selected Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as Deputy CM.
Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi will attend the swearing-in ceremony.
