Karnataka is the only state in the south where BJP has won power. Except for Karnataka, no other state in the south is favorable to BJP. On the other hand, Karnataka assembly elections will be held soon. All the political parties have gone into full swing campaigning. 

The ruling BJP got a shock as the Senior BJP leader and MLC Puttanna resigned from the primary membership of the party yesterday. MLC Puttanna stated in his resignation letter that he is leaving the party due to personal reasons.  He said he has tendered his resignation from the council as well as the primary membership of the BJP.

Puttanna alleged that the corruption prevailing in Karnataka forced him to take the decision. He added that the dream with which he had joined Bharitya Janatha Party could not be materialized because of the suffocation.” He  alleged that not a single problem could be solved by the government.

Puttanna joined Congress  on Thursday  in the presence of Surjewala, Siddaramaiah and DK

AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, former chief minister Siddaramaiah and TPCC president DK Shivakumar held the Congress ceremony. On the other hand, surveys say that the Karnataka elections are likely to be competitive this time. Surveys say that the Congress is in a slightly better position than BJP.
