Haryana BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat passed away last night of heart attack in Goa. Sonali was 41 years old. Her brother confirmed her death. She left behind her little daughter Yashodhara. The actress had complained of uneasiness to her staff on Monday after which she was taken to the hospital. Currently, the post mortem is being conducted and the police are on their way to the hospital. Sonali Phogat had gone to Goa for 2 days for a shoot. She was married to Sanjay Phogat, who was found dead in mysterious circumstances at his farmhouse in Hisar in the year 2016.
Sonali Phogat was also a politician. She had contested the Haryana Assembly polls from the Adampur seat against Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi. Kuldeep Bishnoi had gone to meet her at her residence last week after he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. She was also a popular Tik Tok star before the app got banned by the Indian government in 2020. She had also appeared in the 14th edition of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss.
The politician and actress Sonali Phogat had posted a video on her Instagram account, sometime before her death. The actress had also changed her profile picture on Twitter account during the same time.
