Dubbaka BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao has been detained by the police. He was stopped by the police at Hakeempet while he was going to Gajwel from Hyderabad. From there he was taken to Alwal police station. Going into the details, a man urinating at the statue of Shivaji in Gajwel caused a stir. The urinating man was caught by the locals and handed over to the police. Later, a rally was held from the police station to Shivaji statue.
While returning from there, the two participants of the rally were attacked by unknown persons. A man named Sandeep was seriously injured in this attack. Gajwel was shocked by this incident. The BJP has taken up the agitation to punish the perpetrators of the attack.
As the situation turned tense, the police made heavy security. It is also advised not to spread false propaganda on social media. Raghunandan Rao who was going to Gajwel was detained by the police. As soon as the matter came to know, Etala Rajender, chairman of BJP’s election management committee, called and spoke to Raghunandan. On the other hand, Etala spoke to the media and blamed the arrest of Raghunandan.
The police took the MLA Raghunandan Rao into custody near the Hakimpet Air Force Station and shifted him to the Alwal police station.
