BJP MP seeks removal of secular word from Constitution Here why

Anantkumar Hegde, Karnataka’s BJP MP stirred up a controversy claiming that the BJP will alter the country’s perverted Constitution and make it advantageous towards Hindus if they get a two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha. Being a vocal promoter of the word secular from the preamble, Anantkumar elucidated the numbers the BJP would need in order to sustain an assurance.

The Lok Sabha MP said the BJP needs a two-thirds majority in both houses of Parliament to amend the Constitution and set right distortions and unnecessary additions made to it by the Congress. During a public conference, Anantkumar appealed to his supporters to ensure that the BJP gets the required majority in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as he explained the numbers required to amend the preamble of the Constitution.

He further said, “If the Constitution has to be amended, the Congress principally distorted the Constitution by rapidly filling unnecessary things in it, particularly by bringing in laws that were aimed at throwing the Hindu society down. If all of this has to be changed it is not possible with this majority.”

He also stated an example of the Citizenship Amendment Act and said that it was passed in the Lok Sabha and later in the Rajya Sabha with effort. But various state directorates did not approve it and hence it could not be put into effect. If we win more than four hundred Lok Sabha seats, we can win the assembly seats. Because of this more than 20 states will come to us, and will have two-thirds majority among the state governments.” He concluded.
