Teegala Krishna Reddy said that if he is not given the Maheshwaram ticket in the next election, he will definitely quit the party.

The former mayor of Greater Hyderabad has been unhappy ever since Sabitha Indra Reddy switched loyalties to BRS along with some other Congress leaders in 2019. Telangana CM KCR rewarded her with a Cabinet berth.

He said that BRS made a mistake by taking Sabita Reddy who won from Congress into the party. He spoke to a media channel and made these comments. But responding to whether he will join the Congress, he clarified that he did not consult with anyone.

In fact, Teegala Krishna Reddy contested on behalf of BRS from Maheshwaram constituency in the 2018 elections. While securing more than 86 thousand votes, he was defeated by Sabita Indra Reddy, who was contesting on behalf of the Congress. But Sabita Indra Reddy left the Congress within a few days and joined the BRS.
