The debate on the Governor’s speech started in the Telangana Assembly on Saturday. Congress party MLAs spoke first, and then KTR from BRS gave a speech. He spoke on this occasion. He criticized the previous Congress regime. He said that Telangana was subjected to injustice in every way during the Congress rule. He said that Telangana region has been devastated for 50 years.
KTR vehemently denied saying in the Governor’s speech that the Telangana region has been destroyed in ten years. Congress members blocked KTR’s speech. Ministers Ponnam and Bhatti Vikramarka took the mic and criticized the way KTR was speaking. Deputy CM Bhatti said that they have decided to run the House democratically, but the way KTR is speaking is not like that.
KTR was advised not to talk about the decisions of previous governments, but to talk about what is happening now.
KTR made it clear that when Congress members talk about Indiramma’s regime, they will also talk about the anarchy that happened during their rule. He reminded that if Congress has 64 seats, they also have 39 seats and there is not much difference in vote sharing.
KTR explained many aspects along with electricity debts. He said that the health sector has been completely developed, a district medical college has been established. He reminded that there were only 5 medical colleges at the time of formation of the state. He said that the new secretariat and the Chief Minister’s office were also built by the KCR government. He said that the Governor had told untruths in the speech regarding the Civil Supplies Department. He mentioned that Telangana is at the third position in the NITI Aayog ranking.
