Cases have been registered against Telugu Desam National General Secretary Nara Lokesh and six others for the incidents that took place on Friday during the Yuvagalam Padayatra in Chittoor district’s Bangurapalayam. Along with Nara  Lokesh, the police have registered cases against Amarnath Reddy, Deepak Reddy and Pulivarthi Nani. Cases of attempted murder have been registered against Telugu Desam leaders Jayaprakash and Jagadish.

Bangarupalyam SS Mallikarjuna Reddy filed a complaint against many people including Telugu Desam National General Secretary Nara Lokesh and. Palamaneru CI Ashok Kumar filed a complaint against other leaders. According to these complaints, cases were registered against them under various sections. On Friday, the police stopped Nara  Lokesh’s padayatra in Bangurapalayam for violating the rules.

Padayatra vehicles were seized to prevent public meeting from taking place. But  Nara Lokesh climbed the terrace next to him and talked to the people. Protesting the behavior of the police, the activists of TDP  got into an argument with the police. Cases have been registered against the activists under sections 353, 290, 188, 341 for obstructing the police.

 The police had seized three vehicles at a Telugu Desam Party – TDP public meeting in Bangurapalayam. Several TDP leaders have been charged with obstructing police duties and attempting the murder.
